Daily Devotional for May 17, 2024 – God is our refuge…it’s time to “Stand silent” and give Him room to work!

Psalm 46
God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble. And so we need not fear even if the world blows up and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam; let the mountains tremble!

There is a river of joy flowing through the city of our God—the sacred home of the God above all gods. God himself is living in that city; therefore it stands unmoved despite the turmoil everywhere. He will not delay his help. The nations rant and rave in anger—but when God speaks, the earth melts in submission and kingdoms totter into ruin.

The Commander of the armies of heaven is here among us. He, the God of Jacob, has come to rescue us.

Come, see the glorious things that our God does, how he brings ruin upon the world and causes wars to end throughout the earth, breaking and burning every weapon. “Stand silent! Know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation in the world!”

The Commander of the heavenly armies is here among us! He, the God of Jacob, has come to rescue us!

Greg and I sat on the back porch this morning and listened to the birds and other wildlife. We had thundershowers last night – and an inch of rain! But this morning, the sun burned through and made everything in the freshly washed landscape sparkle and shine. We both agreed that it would be hard to improve on this! God’s majesty and the simplicity of sitting in sunshine, drinking a cup of coffee, and listening to the songbirds chirp would be hard – if not impossible – to top!

I relish these mornings on our back porch. We waited most of the winter and through the spring pollen to be able to sit out for a half hour or more after waking and listen to God speak to us through His creations. We will enjoy this as much as possible before the heat and mosquitoes take over – and again in the fall. It seems like these days, we are constantly seeking opportunities to “stand silent” with God by “porch sitting,” praying while walking, and even turning off the television and escaping in the words of a good novel – or watching an old movie.

There are ample opportunities to fret and worry – and with good reason. But in this season, I am learning to “Stand silent” – or as the KJV puts it, to “Be still and know that I am God!”  Sometimes, the best thing to say or do is nothing! People are always watching and waiting to twist our words and actions to suit their own agenda…especially when we react and respond to their own comments and displays. Perhaps it is best if we grab a beverage of choice, head for a quiet place, and sit in the still and silence – and give God room to speak to us and work in our hearts and minds.

As we wring our hands these days and wonder what the future holds, I believe we would do well to “Stand silent” and allow God room to work. We need not fear…God is our refuge…and He is ready, willing, and able to rescue us! So let’s all just “Be still!”  Alleluia!

Daily Devotional for May 16, 2024 – Rest in the Lord and wait on Him – Sunday’s comin’!

Psalm 37:7-13
Rest in the Lord; wait patiently for him to act. Don’t be envious of evil men who prosper.

Stop your anger! Turn off your wrath. Don’t fret and worry—it only leads to harm. For the wicked shall be destroyed, but those who trust the Lord shall be given every blessing. Only a little while and the wicked shall disappear. You will look for them in vain. But all who humble themselves before the Lord shall be given every blessing and shall have wonderful peace.

The Lord is laughing at those who plot against the godly, for he knows their judgment day is coming.

Yesterday, a dear friend texted me after she received her Daily Devotional and showed me this part of our scripture passage from Psalm 35… “You protect the helpless from those in power; you save the poor and needy from those who hurt them.” She asked, “How can this be true when there are Putins and “presidents for life” and dictators in the world…and so many poor exploited?”

I replied that this was a good question for which I don’t have an answer. But I did tell her that I read a lot of historical novels – many about WWII and the horrible things that happened to people then. Each one has a “theme” of survival. I added that “I don’t know how God works this all out, but I just have to trust that there is nothing He will allow in my life that I cannot endure with His ‘protection’.”  As I read today’s passage, I was reminded that “those who humble themselves before the LORD shall be given every blessing and shall have wonderful peace.”

Here’s what I know…we all observe people who say and do terrible things…hurtful things that make us do a double-take and ask, “What on earth?!” And often, it seems like these people skate by and “get away with murder.” At the very least, they don’t appear to suffer the same consequences as “regular Joe’s” like you and me. Think of how many times in the last few years you have heard it said of a certain someone…“If I said or did those things, I’d be under the jail already!”

This Psalm is very clear that “The LORD is laughing at those who plot against the godly, for He knows their judgment day is coming.” We are also reminded not to be envious of evil men and women who appear to prosper in their hatred, abuse, and assumed “privilege.” We are to remember who we are – and WHOSE we are! God is going to sort everything out…and truthfully, He is working on this already!

I don’t understand poverty and hungry/abused children, war, and bigotry/bias against certain people and groups. But I know that God has a plan. I couldn’t put one foot in front of the other each day if I didn’t believe this to the depths of my heart. There is a song by Zach Williams that I often listen to when I walk. It’s called “Sunday’s Comin’.”  The tag line is “It may feel like Friday, but Sunday’s comin’!”  The song uses the events surrounding the crucifixion of Jesus to remind us that as terrible as “Friday” was, “Sunday’s comin’!” – and Jesus is Alive.

This Psalm is reminding us to “Rest in the Lord; wait patiently for him to act.” And remember that “Sunday’s Comin’” and we need to be ready! Alleluia!

Daily Devotional for May 14, 2024 – Calling on God to carry us through every circumstance…and praising Him when He does!

Psalm 29
Oh, praise the Lord, for he has listened to my pleadings! Only you, Lord, are a mighty rock! Don’t refuse to help me when I pray. If you don’t answer me, I will soon be dead.

Please listen to my prayer and my cry for help, as I lift my hands toward your holy temple.

Don’t drag me away, Lord, with those cruel people,
who speak kind words, while planning trouble.

Treat them as they deserve! Punish them for their sins.

They don’t pay any attention to your wonderful deeds. Now you will destroy them and leave them in ruin.

I praise you, Lord, for answering my prayers.

You are my strong shield, and I trust you completely. You have helped me, and I will celebrate and thank you in song.

You give strength to your people, Lord, and you save and protect your chosen ones.

Come save us and bless us. Be our shepherd and always carry us in your arms.

441296634_466302442623880_4227498866096514084_nForty-seven years ago today, Greg and I graduated from Arkansas Tech University. We were blessed to be able to graduate together, thanks to a work-study program that spread out the last half of Greg’s course of study over three years, while providing him with a job – and us with income! As I thought back over the past 50 years, I thanked God for how He has carried us in His arms…and how He continues to do this even today.

A lot can happen in almost 50 years…and our lives have been rich with experiences, blessings…and yes – challenges at times. But here’s the thing…everybody is in the same boat. If someone tells you they have lived a “perfect” or “trouble-free” life, they are either lying, delusional, or both! As we take stock of our lives to this point, lets focus on how far God has brought us – not on missteps and disappointments. Acknowledge that “life happened,” and God brought you through it. Concentrate on the ways that God shields you…and let these encounters frame your testimony and witness.

There is a quote attributed to Dr. Seuss that says, “Don’t cry because it’s over…smile because it happened.” I would suggest that as faithful servants of God, we rephrase this to say… “Don’t cry because it happened…smile because God carried you through it!” God is still in the business of carrying us. He is still with us – ready, willing, and able to be our Shepherd and bless us in every circumstance. We have so many reasons to praise Him…and plenty of opportunities to share His love and blessings with others. So what are we waiting for? It’s time to get busy living, loving, and trusting God – our forever shield and Shepherd! Alleluia!

Daily Devotional for May 13, 2024 – God alone will save us…pour out your troubles and watch Him work!

Psalm 142
How I plead with God, how I implore his mercy, pouring out my troubles before him. For I am overwhelmed and desperate, and you alone know which way I ought to turn to miss the traps my enemies have set for me. (There’s one—just over there to the right!) No one gives me a passing thought. No one will help me; no one cares a bit what happens to me. Then I prayed to Jehovah. “Lord,” I pled, “you are my only place of refuge. Only you can keep me safe.

“Hear my cry, for I am very low. Rescue me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me. Bring me out of prison so that I can thank you. The godly will rejoice with me for all your help.”

Let me begin with an apology for sharing such a despondent Psalm. I realize that in the last few days, the nature of many passages I’ve shared from the Psalms have had a tone of despair and heartache. Try as I might to move on and get to a passage that was different, God kept putting these in front of me. And then I realized…some of us need to hear these words!

For context, I turned to 1 Samuel 22, verses 7-8 (Contemporary English Version), where King Saul is addressing his troops about David. He says, “Listen to me! You belong to the Benjamin tribe, so if that son of Jesse ever becomes king, he won’t give you fields or vineyards. He won’t make you officers in charge of thousands or hundreds as I have done. But you’re all plotting against me! Not one of you told me that my own son Jonathan had made an agreement with him. Not one of you cared enough to tell me that Jonathan had helped one of my officers rebel. Now that son of Jesse is trying to ambush me.”

David is on the run – and hiding in a cave. He made arrangements for his parents and family members to be safely housed and protected. This is quite the story…King Saul is David’s father-in-law – and David is captain of Saul’s bodyguard! But Saul is convinced that David is going to take over as king – and change/ruin everything.

Saul goes so far as to order the chief priest, Ahemilech, to encourage the troops to kill David and his men. When Ahemilech refuses, Saul orders all the priests to be killed…and only Ahemilech’s son, Abitihiar, survives. David is chased and hunted. He does indeed hide in a cave, where he prays and cries out to God for help and protection.  In 1 Samuel 23:14-15, we learn that “David now lived in the wilderness caves”…and “Saul hunted him day after day, but the Lord didn’t let him find him.”

Ultimately, Saul and David had a confrontation. David could have killed Saul, but he honored God’s commandments and allowed the king to live. His example of mercy and faithfulness helped to persuade Saul to relinquish the throne. God delivered David – and made him king! And this is the message of hope for you and me today.

We are surrounded by those who wish to spread lies and stir up trouble. This begins in our own communities and churches, where people want everyone to believe as they do – about anything and everything. This attitude grows exponentially, and the devil fuels these ideas and attitudes with hatred, fear, selfishness, cynicism – and a great sense of tribalism. The next thing you know, some are “cowering in a cave” and crying out to God for help! On any given day, you and I may be among them!

This is our reminder that God is still the ultimate KING!  He is still completely in control and loves us beyond what we could ever comprehend. Our loving God does not wish any harm to befall His children. So, we are right to cry out to Him…to call on Him to rescue us. We are right to ask God to deal with our “predators” on His terms and according to His perfect plans. We must “let go and let God” have complete control – and trust His methods and outcomes.

God will save us. The likelihood that He will make you and me KINGS – or even put us in charge of much – are slim to none. But He will restore our joy and confidence and give us peace and hope. God will bring us “out of the cave” and into the light of His abundance and care. Glory, Halleluia! Be of good cheer – and keep calling and believing!  Alleluia!

Daily Devotional for May 11, 2024 – Listening to God and trusting His word…it’s time to “follow the Map!”

Psalm 119:12-25
Blessed Lord, teach me your rules. I have recited your laws and rejoiced in them more than in riches. I will meditate upon them and give them my full respect. I will delight in them and not forget them.

Bless me with life so that I can continue to obey you. Open my eyes to see wonderful things in your Word. I am but a pilgrim here on earth: how I need a map—and your commands are my chart and guide. I long for your instructions more than I can tell.

You rebuke those cursed proud ones who refuse your commands – don’t let them scorn me for obeying you. For even princes sit and talk against me, but I will continue in your plans. Your laws are both my light and my counselors.

I am completely discouraged – I lie in the dust. Revive me by your Word.

I have an event to attend today, and it is being held at a place I’ve never been. I have a vague idea of how to get there – but just to be sure, I will set my Google Maps app to guide me when I get in the car. This event is not being held in some far-off city with which I am unfamiliar…it’s on the other end of town! Still, some guidance will be not only helpful but reassuring…and I am thankful for this technology to get me to my destination.

We could say the same about our relationship with God. We know His laws…we’ve heard them (and hopefully practiced them) all our lives. But on any given day, we can use some help…a “map” if you will, to chart our course in any situation or circumstance. I would be willing to bet that there has been more than one instance in your life where others have scoffed at you for seeking God’s guidance. But in our heart, we know this is the best approach.

Surely someone has rolled his/her eyes when you said, “I’m going to have to pray about XYZ.” I know in my own life, well-meaning “Christians” have told me that I am wrong – or that I have misinterpreted God’s word and laws – in several instances. It can be tough to stay the course when you know that you are hearing directly from God and His instructions do not line up with what your friends or fellow believers think! But the Psalmist reminds us to continue in God’s plans…to trust His voice over the din and influence of others.

Follow the “map” of God’s word…both written and spoken. And in moments when you are discouraged or disassociated in some way, remember Whose opinion truly matters. Always use God’s commands as your chart and guide. His strength and steadfastness will revive and rejuvenate you – and get you to your Eternal Destination on time and in one piece!  Alleluia!

Daily Devotional for May 9, 2024 – Learning to live in God’s promises…what gives you hope?

Psalm 112:1-9
Praise the Lord! For all who fear God and trust in him are blessed beyond expression. Yes, happy is the man who delights in doing his commands.

His children shall be honored everywhere, for good men’s sons have a special heritage. He himself shall be wealthy, and his good deeds will never be forgotten. When darkness overtakes him, light will come bursting in. He is kind and merciful – and all goes well for the generous man who conducts his business fairly.

Such a man will not be overthrown by evil circumstances. God’s constant care of him will make a deep impression on all who see it. He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen. For he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him. That is why he is not afraid but can calmly face his foes. He gives generously to those in need. His deeds will never be forgotten. He shall have influence and honor.

Yesterday, my pastor-friend, Lana, posed a question on Facebook…“What gives you hope?”
Responses ranged from “my children” to “my faith” to “God’s word.” My response was this… “I see how God has delivered me to this point, and this propels me forward. Do I have days when my hope and faith are weak? Sure! But I quickly immerse myself in prayer, music, and scripture that reminds me that God will never leave us. AND…a little time on my back porch listening to the birds doesn’t hurt, either! I figure if God is still making new “crops” every spring, He’s not going anywhere!”

In this Psalm, we are reminded to “stay the course.” I’ve become an avid reader post-Covid. Much of what I read is historical fiction. I see the incredible tribulations and heartaches that so many have suffered – and survived. I see how even as we humans seem doomed to repeat the same mistakes, God still guides and guards us – and offers us a reprieve.

I look at our children and all that lies ahead of them. Of course, I wonder what their adult lives will be like. But then, as a young newlywed when Saigon fell in 1975, I wondered if the world was going to end before my adult life even got a chance to truly begin. And here we are! I know the struggles and anguishes that people have endured for centuries…things that are unfathomable to me, such as watching family members be massacred right before their eyes. I cannot imagine how Holocaust survivors put one foot in front of the other and moved forward to create productive, happy lives.

I marvel at those who have suffered incredible mental and physical abuse and somehow get past it and find joy and purpose. And I know that they must all be filled with incredible hope – that God will sustain them, that “life” will get better, and that they can move past their despairs and difficulties.

God is in the business of offering hope to all who will trust Him. I know this because of personal observations and my own experiences. Nobody gets to be my age without some challenges in life! How we react and respond to “life” is solely up to us. We can throw up our hands and cry “Foul!”  Or we can lift our hands to Heaven and ask the God of Hope to fill us and carry us forward. The choice is 100% our own – and I know my decision. What about you? Alleluia!

Daily Devotional for May 5, 2024 – Making God your first and only choice…and living in His abundance…it’s time to stop “shopping around!”

Psalm 16
Keep me safe, O God,
I’ve run for dear life to you.
I say to God, “Be my Lord!”
    Without you, nothing makes sense.
And these God-chosen lives all around—
    what splendid friends they make!
Don’t just go shopping for a god.
    Gods are not for sale.
I swear I’ll never treat god-names
    like brand-names.
My choice is you, God, first and only.
And now I find I’m your choice!
You set me up with a house and yard.
And then you made me your heir!
The wise counsel God gives when I’m awake
is confirmed by my sleeping heart.
Day and night I’ll stick with God;
I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go.
I’m happy from the inside out,
and from the outside in, I’m firmly formed.
You canceled my ticket to hell—
    that’s not my destination!
Now you’ve got my feet on the life path,
all radiant from the shining of your face.
Ever since you took my hand,
    I’m on the right way.

Many days when I walk in our neighborhood, I all but pinch myself at how blessed I am. Like many young people, I had the “picket-fence” dream – husband, two kids, nice home and car, and all the creature comforts. Also like many young adults, the reality of hard work, paying bills, and living comfortably came to the forefront, and “luxuries” became more of a “bonus” than a necessity. As we aged and moved into retirement, the value of acquisitions became secondary to things like health, family, friends – and most importantly…our relationship with God. So, as I walked the neighborhood this morning, I thanked God for the abundance of my circumstances…physically – but especially spiritually.

Life is filled with choices, and we have consistently chosen to trust God over man…to listen for His voice over the din of peer pressure and the values of the world. And God has blessed us for this faithful obedience. We are forever grateful for His love and abundance…and we know that He is calling us to be good conservators of all He has given us.

We are smack in the middle of a season of graduations and birthdays for many of our kiddos. My prayer for all young people is that they would learn early the value of a steadfast relationship with God. I pray that we would all know our worth as His beloved…and that we would listen for His voice over the din of the world. Life is so fleeting in the scheme of things. We may think we have plenty of time to live for today and fit in with our friends and neighbors…that we will worry about how this all works with God’s design later. But none of us is promised tomorrow…and God should never be kept waiting!

Make God your one and only choice today – and stick with Him in every circumstance. Listen for His voice – and get to know Him so well that you always know when He is speaking to you. Don’t be fooled for one minute by the glitz and glamour of a “designer god,” personal acquisitions, or popular ideology. Stay with the One who numbers every hair on your head and knows what is best for you in all situations. God’s got this!  Count your blessings as His precious child – and gratefully serve Him with everything you’ve got! Alleluia!

Daily Devotional for May 4, 2024 – Garnering a seat at God’s Heavenly table…here’s how to get on the “guest list”…

Psalm 15
God, who gets invited
    to dinner at your place?
How do we get on your guest list?

“Walk straight,
    act right,
        tell the truth.

“Don’t hurt your friend,
    don’t blame your neighbor;
        despise the despicable.

“Keep your word even when it costs you,
    make an honest living,
        never take a bribe.

“You’ll never get blacklisted
     if you live like this.”<

Scripture quotations from The Message. © 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002 by Eugene Peterson. Used by permission of NavPress, Colorado Springs, CO. All rights reserved.

I’ll be honest…I’ve never been a fan of country clubs, VIP boxes and booths, and exclusive sororities and fraternities or organizations of any kind that even hint at “exclusivity” – including some churches. In many cases, the chasm between the “haves” and the “have-nots” is not only vast – it causes incredibly harsh and painful feelings at times. Nobody should ever be made to feel “less than” – especially for reasons based on economics, appearance, age, race, or sexual orientation, to name a few.

I grew up very “middle class.” Money was always tight for my parents (who worked multiple jobs) and three children. Many of the things that our peers did and acquired were out of reach for us…and kids can be truly cruel in their judgment and ridicule. I regret to say that there were kids in our classes who had even less than we did…and I am sure we looked down on them for their “lack,” to some degree. But I can tell you…this is never a good feeling for those on the receiving end of judgment, and I am keenly aware today of how important it is not to disparage others.

In God’s Kingdom, all have an open invitation to feast at His Heavenly table and abide in His abundance and care. This is a coveted honor that is not to be taken lightly. God is not in the business of making others feel inferior or “second-class” in any manner. After all, we are royalty – children of the Master of the Universe! But God does have standards…orders and protocol that must be observed. The Psalmist reminds us of these…act right, tell the truth. Don’t hurt your friend, don’t blame your neighbor; despise the despicable. Keep your word even when it costs you, make an honest living, never take a bribe.

We also know that we have been commanded to love God with our whole heart, mind, and soul – and to love others as Christ loves us. When we do these things, our “invitation” is always open. As miserable as it can be to be “blacklisted” in some manner in our daily living, exclusion from God’s Heavenly table would be the worst!

Consider this day how you speak and act…how you treat others and WHO you truly serve. The stakes are high…the rewards are Eternal. It is God’s desire that as many as possible are on His “guest list.”  Will you be one of them?  Alleluia!

Daily Devotional for May 2, 2024 – God 𝒊𝒔 watching…what does your “witness” show Him and others?

Psalm 10:1-11
Lord, why are you standing aloof and far away? Why do you hide when I need you the most?

Come and deal with all these proud and wicked men who viciously persecute the poor. Pour upon these men the evil they planned for others! For these men brag of all their evil lusts; they revile God and congratulate those the Lord abhors, whose only goal in life is money.

These wicked men, so proud and haughty, seem to think that God is dead. They wouldn’t think of looking for him! Yet there is success in everything they do, and their enemies fall before them. They do not see your punishment awaiting them. They boast that neither God nor man can ever keep them down—somehow they’ll find a way!

Their mouths are full of profanity and lies and fraud. They are always boasting of their evil plans. They lurk in dark alleys of the city and murder passersby. Like lions they crouch silently, waiting to pounce upon the poor. Like hunters they catch their victims in their traps. The unfortunate are overwhelmed by their superior strength and fall beneath their blows. “God isn’t watching,” they say to themselves; “he’ll never know!”

This entire passage from Psalm 10 seems to be summed up by this verse 11…“God isn’t watching,” they say to themselves; “he’ll never know!” And honestly, there are a lot of people who have made this their mantra. We can cite examples of this in national and world leadership…but we can also find people and situations in our own backyard who arrogantly behave in a manner that insults God – all while often claiming to love and serve Him and have His full endorsement for their words and actions. I get that this is maddening…and I understand those who plead with God to “do something!” Clearly the concept of “getting away with murder” is nothing new – and predates the earthly life of Jesus Christ It is understandable that some wonder why God continues to allow this type of hatefulness and deception.

So what are we to do? If you read on in Psalm 10, you see that even as the writer begs God to deal with these evil people, His power and presence is also acknowledged. Verse 16 says, “The Lord is King forever and forever. Those who follow other gods shall be swept from his land.” The heart of the message never changes…“God wins!” And those who follow God and serve Him with faithful obedience will ultimately be victorious.

We must continue to stand up and be who God has called us to be – even in the face of evil, hatred, lies, deception, and false witness. We must stand tall and proud as we love all others with the love of Christ. We must always offer grace, mercy, kindness, and dignity – even to those who operate in hatred and dishonesty.

We must declare God’s truths to all who will hear them…and demonstrate Christ’s teachings in our daily living. And we must trust God to oversee justice. Don’t waste time worrying about the people who are operating in fraud, deceit, and false witness in order to seemingly “get ahead.” Concentrate on being who God has called you to be. And praise our Most High God…He will handle the rest! Alleluia!

Daily Devotional for May 1, 2024 – It’s a great day to reflect on God’s majesty and glory…and count our blessings!

Psalm 8
O Lord our God, the majesty and glory of your name fills all the earth and overflows the heavens. You have taught the little children to praise you perfectly. May their example shame and silence your enemies!

When I look up into the night skies and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you have made— I cannot understand how you can bother with mere puny man, to pay any attention to him!

And yet you have made him only a little lower than the angels and placed a crown of glory and honor upon his head.

You have put him in charge of everything you made; everything is put under his authority: all sheep and oxen, and wild animals too, the birds and fish, and all the life in the sea. O Jehovah, our Lord, the majesty and glory of your name fills the earth.

I’ve been going through old pictures the last few days. This included an attempt to clean up the photos on my phone. Talk about a trip down Memory Lane! The oldest photo stored there was taken in 2007. The most recent was snapped April 29th when we had the most beautiful pink sunset. Speaking of sunsets…I cleared my phone of dozens of photos taken from our back porch (yes, they are all saved elsewhere on an external hard drive). This reminded me that I never tire of our view of the lake, river, and valley views…the magnificent cloud formations, fog on the river, and the change of the seasons. All are physical proof of God’s incredible artistry.

My phone is also filled with photos of our family…all ages, with events ranging from birthday parties and holidays to back-to-school days and graduations captured in the mix. There were countless pictures of our two cats and other family members’ dogs…our home…the hikes we have taken…and moments of accomplishment both great and small. And all reminded me of how much God loves us.

God has seen fit to bless us with great joy and accomplishments. He has also seen us through dark days, heartaches, and losses. The God who cares enough to make a Painted Bunting a vivid feathered rainbow of beauty, puts amazing intricacy into tiny wildflowers, and orchestrates the majesty of bald eagles is the same God who designed every cell of our bodies and numbers the hairs on our head! And I am completely in awe – and in love.

This is a great day to stop and count blessings. Consider all the things that God has done for you – the blessings He has bestowed upon you and your life. I am with the Psalmist…I cannot fathom why God bothers with a puny lot like us…but I know that He does – and I am truly grateful. Make this a day that you tell Him just how thankful you are for His presence and power.

Give God glory and praise this day – and start making this a habit!  We get so bogged down in negativity and the troubles of this world. It’s time that we started living in the glory and majesty of God…and sharing this with others in all that we do and speak. Look around…the majesty of God fills the earth!  Alleluia!
